![]() ![]() I came in the next day to find it sending audio through the built-in laptop speakers once again. The laptop stayed docked, locked, and did not hibernate/sleep/restart overnight. I updated the audio drivers and sound came out beautifully through the speakers while plugged into the Dock. I did have success with the audio for one day last week. I'll try that tomorrow and follow up on this.Īt this point though, I'm beginning to wonder if in-fact the Dock is the culprit. Verified all audio is turned up to it's maximum whatever program playing audio was turned up speakers have no physical volume buttonĪs I'm typing this, I've realized that I have not attempted to try this in Safe Mode for kicks.To check for power supply issues, you can follow these steps: Disconnect the AC adapter or power cord from your laptop. Verified good connection to dock in the proper ports Step 2: Disconnect and reconnect your power cord (for laptop) If your Dell laptop has any problem with the power supply, the USB ports on your laptop may stop working. ![]() Note that audio comes out of the laptop when set as default, but no audio on speakers if they're set to default.Verified audio output was set to external speakers, not the laptop's.Updated the BIOS to its current version. ![]()
